Latest News

2008 already seems to be moving very quickly with this years Workshops and the Equine Natural Medicine Course starting here in mid to late May.

We’ve also had to revise some of the workshop dates to accommodate the course so please check out our workshops page if you are unsure.

In April I did ‘An Evening Audience of Animal Communication’ at Sutherland Saddlery in Pembroke, which had a wonderful response. Due to this we will be arranging another date for later this year. The evening consisted of a talk from myself about what animal communication actually is and what it can be used for. After this everyone was invited to put their animal pictures into a box and Julie, owner of Sutherland Saddlery drew them out so that I could answer people’s pet behaviour problems and health questions about their individual animals. A good night was had by all and many people went home with a new understanding of their horses and other pets and their problems.

March saw the arrival of our new rehab horse, McCord. McCord is a 17.2hh ID x Warmblood, a wonderful chap who has made the long journey to us from Northern Ireland. He settled well from day one and is living happily along side our other two bigger equines, Polly and Alfie.

Barefoot Trimming. Last autumn I chose to change from my farrier to a barefoot trimmer. Needless to say Alfie’s feet have remarkably improved, his front heels are no longer half as much underslung and we haven’t seen a sniff of a pressure crack on his front right since. All our 6 equines here are looking bright and sound with wonderful looking hooves, long may it continue!

If you live in the Midlands and are interested in Barefoot I can pass on the trimmers details on request.
